Dating has evolved significantly in recent years. The reason for this is technological improvement and the emergence of numerous dating services, on which most people rely heavily in their search for true love.

That old-fashioned dating when you met someone through a common acquaintance or at a bar is hardly nonexistent nowadays.

However, while dating services make it easier to match with people we’ve never met in person, they also disguise the risks of encountering suspicious people who present themselves in a completely different light than they are.

There have been instances where people who began communicating and bonding through a dating app are completely taken aback when they finally meet in person.

A woman named Jocelyn shared her experience with someone she met on the dating site Bumble.

According to Bumble’s description, “women always make the first move,” so when she was matched with a man named Myles whom she found attractive, she decided to message him through the app.

After some time, Jocelyn agreed to give Myles her phone number so that he could text her and arrange the two to meet up for dinner.

However, after receiving some text messages from him, she realized something was wrong, and it had nothing to do with what he wrote. She observed that Myles’ texts were green, which is what happens when someone texts an iPhone user from an Android smartphone. If he texted from his iPhone, the message bubbles would be blue.

This wouldn’t seem weird if she hadn’t seen Myles was sporting an Apple Watch in the photographs he posted on the dating service.

According to Apple, “you need an iPhone 6s or later” to use an Apple watch, and because Myles owned the watch but wasn’t wearing it, Jocelyn concluded the photographs he shared were of someone else, not Myles.

In the video below that she posted on TikTok, Jocelyn explained what she found out when she ran an image search on Google.

In an update, she stated that Myles never answered to her last text.

Some TikTok users advised she send Myles a screenshot of Ron’s Instagram, but because he hadn’t responded to her text, she opted not to.

Anyway, she hadn’t heard from Myles since, and his Bumble account had been deactivated.

“We’re so sorry to hear about this! We’ve found the member and permanently removed them,” Bumble replied under Jocelyn’s video.
