Reunited Friends and Family Tales
Two old friends reunited after many years. As they caught up, one asked about the other’s son.
“Tell me,” she said, “what happened to your son?”
The mother sighed deeply, lamenting, “My poor son! He ended up in an unfortunate marriage. His wife refuses to help around the house. She just sleeps, loafs around, and reads in bed. Can you believe it? My son even brings her breakfast in bed every morning!”
The friend responded sympathetically, “That’s truly awful. And what about your daughter?”
The mother’s face lit up. “Ah, she’s the lucky one! She married an angel of a man. He forbids her from doing any housework. Every morning, he lovingly serves her breakfast in bed. My daughter gets to sleep in and relax all day.”
