The 77-year-old host has already recorded his final episode, which will air on June 7. Leading up to this, Wheel of Fortune will honor Sajak with a series titled “Thanks for the Memories.”
Announcing Retirement
Last summer, Sajak announced his retirement after the 41st season. He shared, “The time has come. I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last. It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all.”
Passing the Torch
Following Sajak’s announcement, Ryan Seacrest was named the new host. Vanna White will continue her role on the show. Seacrest expressed his gratitude, saying, “I am truly humbled to be stepping into the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak.
