Johnny’s History Test: A Closer Look
Little Johnny brought home his history test result, scoring a 90. His father was thrilled with the result. However, his mother, Karen, couldn’t believe her son scored a 90 in history.
A Suspicious Detail
Upon closer inspection, Karen noticed that the handwriting styles of the 9 and the 0 were different. She confronted Johnny, “Johnny, you’re busted. Did you add the 0 to your marks?”
Johnny replied, “No, Mum, I didn’t.”
The Interrogation Intensifies
Karen pressed further, “I’m asking you once more. Did you add that 0 to your marks?”
“Mum, no, I didn’t add that 0,” Johnny insisted.
Consequences Loom
“Okay, since you’re not telling the truth, you’re grounded for a month,” Karen declared.
“Mum, no, please, I really didn’t add that 0,” Johnny pleaded.

Karen gave him one last chance, “This is your last chance, kid. Tell me the truth.”
After a pause, Johnny confessed, “I just added the 9 to it.”
