Discovering the Hearing Problem
An old man notices his wife struggling to hear. He suggests she get a hearing test, but she refuses. Determined to prove there’s an issue, he decides to test her hearing himself.
Testing from a Distance
First, he goes upstairs, takes out a recorder, and turns it on. Knowing she’s in the kitchen, he yells downstairs, “Honey, what’s for supper?” No response.
Moving Closer
He goes downstairs and yells again, “Honey, what’s for supper?” Still, no answer.
Trying from the Living Room
Entering the living room, he shouts once more, “Honey, what’s for supper?” Silence.
Nearing the Kitchen
He stands right outside the kitchen and calls out, “What’s for supper?” Still nothing.
The Final Attempt
Finally, he stands directly behind her and asks, “Honey. What’s. For. Supper?!” She turns around and snaps, “Damn it, Al, for the hundredth time, CHICKEN!!!”
