Thursday’s episode of Wheel of Fortune was unforgettable. During the toss-up round, a contestant blurted out an NSFW answer, leaving Pat Sajak, his fellow contestants, and the audience stunned.
The Unexpected Guess
The category was “phrase,” and contestants were given “_ _ _ _ I_ T_E B_ _T!” Within seconds, Tavaris from Port St. Lucie, Florida, rang in with his guess: “Right in the butt?” He seemed unaware that the first word had only four letters, not five. His response elicited audible gasps and laughs from the audience and other contestants.
Sajak took a moment to respond before simply saying, “No.” Thankfully, another contestant, Blake, quickly rang in and correctly declared, “This is the best.”
Introducing the Contestants
Later, when introducing the players, Sajak asked Tavaris how he was holding up after his hilarious response. Sajak told him, “You’ve already made an impression on us.” Tavaris apologized, explaining he was a little excited. Sajak humorously added, “We’ll figure out a way to handle that tastefully. I have no idea what that’ll be, but…”
