Discovering a Deep Cleaning Hack for Your Oven
Introducing the Self-Cleaning Oven Hack
While I generally enjoy keeping my home clean, tackling certain household chores like cleaning the oven is always a daunting task. Despite relying on the self-clean mode, I’ve often found it insufficient for achieving the deep clean I desire. However, thanks to a brilliant tip I recently discovered, that’s all about to change.
Unveiling the Cleaning Method
This self-cleaning oven hack promises to revitalize your oven, including its window. The process begins by preheating the oven to 150 degrees or the lowest possible setting. Then, boil water to prepare for the next step.
Executing the Cleaning Process
Once the oven reaches the desired temperature, turn it off. Place a bowl containing one cup of ammonia on the top rack and another bowl of boiling water on the bottom rack. Allow both bowls to sit in the oven overnight, effectively harnessing the power of ammonia’s cleaning properties.
Completing the Deep Clean
The following morning, remove the bowls from the oven, reserving the ammonia solution for later use. Take out the oven racks and leave the oven door open for approximately 15 minutes to allow it to cool down. Then, combine a few teaspoons of liquid dish soap with the ammonia solution and four cups of warm water.
Achieving Sparkling Results
With gloves on, use a scrubbing pad to gently wipe down the sides and bottom of the oven using the solution. Once the grease and grime have softened, wipe clean with a damp cloth. This method promises a sparkling clean oven without requiring extensive time or effort, leaving you with a pristine appliance ready for use.
