High school students in the United States are usually under the age of 21, so they can’t legally drink. However, other places in the world have lower age limits. In the UK, the legal drinking age is 18, but bringing alcohol to school events is still prohibited if minors are present.
Despite this, some students try to break the rules and sneak alcohol into events like prom to enjoy the night even more.
Sneaky Student Antics
Prom chaperones are trained to keep everyone under control and spot any alcohol consumption. However, students sometimes find ingenious ways to sneak in drinks. This picture is a classic example of the antics students get up to!
A senior prom attendee posing for the picture disguised an extra-large flask. How did she do it? She took an oversized silver flask and fashioned it to look like her clutch bag!
The Ingenious Flask Disguise
At first glance, it seemed like she was carrying a stylish silver clutch, but a closer look revealed something else. British student Eleanor Clarke wasn’t going to let the law stop her from having fun with friends. She wore a beautiful gown and carried what appeared to be a metallic clutch bag. However, it was just a large flask. Instead of carrying a real bag to store her things, she chose something she could fill with liquid!
Eleanor didn’t specify if she filled the flask with alcohol. She was surprised she pulled this off. “Still don’t know how I got away with a huge hip flask as my prom clutch,” she wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
She reportedly bought the flask from Tiger for $12. She hid it in plain sight in an ingenious way, so no one was wiser until she revealed her scheme!
