Johnny Outsmarts the Neighborhood Boys
Little Johnny constantly gets teased by the other neighborhood boys for being “stupid.” Their favorite joke involves offering Johnny a choice between a nickel and a dime. Johnny always chooses the nickel.
A Neighbor’s Advice
One day, after Johnny picks the nickel again, a neighbor pulls him aside. The neighbor says, “Johnny, those boys are making fun of you. Don’t you know that a dime is worth more than a nickel, even though the nickel’s bigger?”
Johnny’s Clever Response
Johnny grins and replies, “Well, if I took the dime, they’d stop doing it, and so far I’ve made $20!”
