Historic Win on The Price is Right
On Friday’s episode of The Price is Right, the price was almost perfect. Host Drew Carey was stunned during the Showcase Showdown when a contestant bid remarkably close to the actual prize value, calling it the “best Showcase bid in the history of the show.”
Patrice Masse’s Remarkable Bid
Patrice Masse from Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada, participated in the game and reached the Showcase Showdown. He bid $39,500 on a prize package that included a trip to Miami and a new car.
Unbelievable Outcome
When Carey revealed the actual value of the prize package, he was speechless. The crowd and Masse anxiously awaited the results.
“So, let me tell ya…” Carey began, building suspense.
“Thirty-nine thousand, five-oh-one.”
A Win for the Record Books
Masse’s bid was within $1 of the actual value, winning him both prize packages. According to current rules, any contestant within $250 without going over wins both showcases. Masse’s incredible guess made him one of the show’s rare Double Showcase Winners.
Celebrating an Amazing Victory
Congratulations, Patrice! Your win is surely one of the greatest in game show history.
