Parents often send delightful treats, whether by train, minibus, or coach. These packages are usually a comforting surprise for students living far from home.
A Surprising Twist
Sometimes, however, parents have a playful side. As one student learned, they can be quite mischievous. After moving into his residence hall for his first year of college in Bucharest, the young man received an exciting call from his parents.
The Unexpected Package
His parents promised to send a package. Eagerly, he rushed to the train station, collected a large box, and hurried back to his dorm. But upon opening it, he was stunned. Instead of food, the box contained nothing but wrappers and rubbish. Confused, he found a note inside.
The Lesson Delivered
The note read, “You left your room untidy after using it. Please take away the trash.” Though puzzled at first, the young man quickly understood the lesson his parents were sending.
