After Silver Spoons, Schroder aimed to establish himself as a mature actor. He appeared in shows like NYPD Blue, Scrubs, and Strong Medicine. Besides acting, he took on directing and producing roles. In 2004, his film Black Cloud won the Best Director Award at the San Diego International Film Festival.

Personal Challenges

Despite professional success, Schroder faced personal struggles. In 1992, he was arrested for domestic violence involving his then-girlfriend Andrea Bernard. Although they married and had four children—Holden, Luke, Cambrie, and Faith—their relationship ended in 2016.

Now mostly out of the spotlight, Schroder spends time on his farm and keeps in touch with fans via social media. In a recent Instagram video, he appeared in farming attire, reflecting on his past and advocating against federal corruption.
